Dell XPS 14z review

t3me.com
12 February 2014
  • Conclusion: If you need a laptop to keep you entertained on the go, Dell’s XPS 14z is one of the best around. A good combo of portability and performance, Dell would have earned full praise from our end if not for that mediocre, run-of-the-mill screen.
  • Pros: Solid and robust, Attractive design, Multimedia performance in a light, ultrabook-like package
  • Cons: Lack of ports, XPS branding not up to its gaming heritage in this device

Dell XPS 14z

CNET
5 February 2012
  • Summary: The Dell XPS 14z is a nicely designed, well-built 14-inch laptop, but the XPS "z" design works better on the 15-inch version, leaving this model feeling chunky.
  • Cons: Even with the approximate footprint of a 13-inch laptop, this still feels thick and heavy, especially compared with the new generation of Ultrabooks.

Dell XPS 14z Review

thinkdigit.com
20 December 2011
  • Summary: An attractive design, above-average performance and good battery life make the Dell XPS 14z laptop one of the better notebooks available in the market now. Had Dell packed in a better display, the Dell XPS 14z would have been a serious competitor to the likes of MacBook Pro 13-inch. Having said that, the Dell XPS 14z will have no problems handling your day to day tasks and with discrete graphics it has enough grunt for light gamers.
  • Pros: Great Looks, Excellent Keyboard, Solid Performance, Good Battery Life
  • Cons: No customisation option, Display Resolution

Dell XPS 14z

LAPTOP Magazine
24 October 2011
  • Summary: The $1,299 Dell XPS 14z offers fast Core i7 performance in an elegant and portable package. In addition to the sleek and sturdy metal design, we like the smooth and accurate touchpad and helpful Dell Stage software. Some competing notebooks offer more graphics muscle, and the display isn't best in class, but overall this is one of our favorite thin-and-light notebooks.
  • Pros: Attractive elegant design, Strong performance, Excellent touchpad, Good graphics power, Runs cool
  • Cons: Most ports in the back, Mushy touchpad buttons, Narrow viewing angles
