Summary: This laptop lost me a month. i traveled overseas and suddenly one day it went blank. I wanted to return it but the hassle n cost was too much. I'm still overseas and stuck with it. Seems that the motherboard needs replaced!!!
Summary: I love my new laptop. I do basic work on it s its perfect. Its extremely stylish and it weighs close to nothing. The screen size is perfect, not too small, the keys are spaced out nicely, awesome. It has long battery life. I have had it for a month now and I am still smiling. Delivery time was as promised. I would recommend this laptop and seller to anyone, any day.
Summary: Have used other dell products before and were very reliable. I purchased this product despite many complaints reg laptop not booting after few days. Same happened to me in less than a week and had to return it. This specific model seems to have a common hardware problem. I will not recommend this product to any one.
Summary: Just got it today. It's lightweight, screen is OK (wouldn't mind a 1600x900 though) and keyboard/mouse pad feels excellent (much better than my other Acer which keyboard sucks) I thought I will get keyboard back-lighting, but it doesn't. Too bad. I also doesn't like that the Home/End, and Page up/Page down keys are only available along with pressing the FN key. What was Dell thinking? There's more than enough room to extend the keyboard a bit.
Terrible experience with a Dell laptop for the first time
20 June 2013
Summary: I have been using Dell laptops for the past 5 years and have always been impressed with their service and reliability. But this time i have been let down both in service and product. Problems with the product: The first time i started my laptop everything was fine. The second time it refused to move past the dell logo and was stuck there for 2 hours. I read up on the internet that this is not unusual for the 14z and tried a fix that was mentioned on the website.
Summary: It's hard to use this computer, but much of that has to do with the OS. everything is different, and some things are just plain hard to do, like turning it off, closing programs. The computer itself is attractive, light, good battery life, fast; but if its hard to use, those things don't matter as much.
Summary: I had issues from day 1. called Dell tech center. Rep lied or gave wrong info regarding Microsoft site down, so could not help. Wasted 24 hours to resolve issues. I was tossed from one dept. to another. My phone was hanged up one time to frustrate me. Tech reps did not know how to solve problem. I had to reformat hard drive and install OS again. Is it worth my time? I do not think so. I would pay little more and get better system.
