Basically, you're going to have to accept the heat factor if you're demanding this much performance out of an ultraportable. And in our opinion, it's a fair price to pay for the amount of horsepower you receive. The little extras really add up to a lot: the display is gorgeous, the keyboard is marvelous to type on and the left/right click buttons are definitely amongst the nicest we've used. Read more

The new concept of the Studio XPS model seems successful. The XPS stll claims a high performance . And Dell rightly places emphasis on the hybrid solution from nVidia . So, it was not only possible to provide proper reserve capacities, but also fulfill properties typical for 13-incher, e.g., a slim case, a decent noise level , and also sufficient mobility. The case could also convince in many aspects. E.g., regarding used materials and stability . Read more

How do you improve on one of the best and most popular notebooks in the 13-inch class, the Dell XPS M1330? If you’re Dell, you keep the same sleekly tapered form factor but make the industrial design even more striking, with luxury accents such as brushed aluminum and genuine leather. Read more

It oozes style and has plenty of substance. The $1,354 Studio XPS 13, the 13.3-inch sibling to the XPS 16 , has an attractive design, complete with leather details, white LED lights, and responsive touch controls, not to mention strong performance and switchable graphics to match. The short battery life will give highly mobile users pause, but you can easily upgrade to a 9-cell battery. Read more

This is an excellent system, great graphics, speed and performance. However there is a slight heating issue with this model. After a few months of regular use, the base warped. When I sat it on a flat surface one corner did not sit flat and the whole thing bounced when I typed.. very annoying! Read more

pros - its small compact. cons - it gets too hot, too slow even with 4gb ram, keyboard went out every 3 months, i had the li ion 9 cell battery it lasted less than a year, the laptop was replaced more than 3 times in less than a year, the laptop crashed resulting in loss of data numerous times, i needed techs to come out and fix it and to send it in to dell for them to fix it numerous times. i spent more time without the laptop working than with the laptop working.
