Excerpt: I purchased this laptop less than a year ago online in the green color. I got one of the higher end models (RAM, etc.) with it. I was hoping after what id paid for it, the computer would be in excellent condition for at least the first week. The day i got it, everything was perfect, all manuals included and all. About 2 days later my eject button on the touch buttons would constantly try to eject, but nothing was in the drive. I sent it back to dell to have them...
Excerpt: The quality of the actual laptop is extremely cheap I have had this computer for a little over a year and because of the cheap quality my computer has had many physical damages, one of which i just opened my computer and there is some kind of damage and I was told it is due to heat. My computer stays in my room, but I do live in arizona so the heat shouldnt affect how my computer looks. My mouse pad has stopped working and the color to my computer is fading.
Excerpt: What can I say about this computer? A huge disappointment!! I was excited when I first purchased this laptop, but I was quickly disappointed and shattered after taking it for a test drive. Despite its i5 processor, the laptop was not running as zippy as I had expected it to be.The computer is also much heavier than other laptops with the same screen size. I wanted a laptop for its easy portability not a desktop to carry around when I am traveling.
Dell Studio 1735-Some cool features, lots of not cool problems.

Excerpt: Dell Studio 1735 Laptop. Good Stuff - Looks cool, has nifty media buttons above the keyboard. Love the number pad. Lots of USB ports and all ports and hookups are on the sides rather than in the back. Clear, well lit large screen. Now for the Bad - No physical eject button for the disc drive, if you are having software issues, you can't get the dang disc out. Comes loaded with Vista which is a huge problem in itself. My laptop started shutting down at random times...
Summary: I bought this laptop 2 and half years ago and when I first ordered it I was super excited because it looked like a fantastic laptop and I thought if a laptop was going to cost £450 I would be great. Oh how I was wrong, within 4 days of having it I had to reinstall the O/S and I had to manually install all the drivers from about 5 separate discs. I'm not sure if you have to manually install the drivers, but it was very tedious and took hours.
Pros: The screen is nice, keyboard is the best I've used and the touchpad has a nice feel.
Summary: the keys fall off i had 2 new hard drives and only 6 months old it slow why they stuck vista on it i dont know the touch pad dont use i have use mouse all time i think they had good idea then ruined it yet the 15 inch studio dont seem as bad
