A very nice workstation - PC desktop replacement machine.

prosperityvender, Ebay

  • Summary: I've become a loyal Precision user since my M4700. This model has almost the same bells and whistles such as duel fans, long battery life, lighted keypad, powerful hardware, perfect LCD non-glare screen (emphasize), duel location mouse-pad buttons (that is huge also), nice lock button for the lid, and great look.

  • Summary: Gorgeous laptop! And the price is normal. Everything works. Thank you)) screen and power are great, even by today's standards. It is a pity there is no HDMI, and USB enough. I had to buy an adapter.

Best quality laptop I have ever owned!

Jen, Amazon
5 October 2014
  • Summary: Amazing workhorse. It's big ,heavy, and warm, but it is an absolute beast. I've been using one daily for almost 5 years and it is still powerful enough to run any software or game that I can throw at it. Quality laptop!

The flagship laptop, better than many a desktop

storac, Ebay
4 May 2014
  • Summary: You ever heard it say "they don't make them anymore like that" yes, that is a shame. This Dell is a heavy duty work platform, stress on heavy, yes, hard to take on travels, but it is expandable to the max! Put a ssd and a hdd inside, gaming, if you are into that sort of thing, photo editing, presentations, cad design.., this is the machine you want!

Kind of a Beauty, kind of a Beast,,,Love it....

  • Summary: It looks much, much, much nicer in person than in Pictures. The Anti-glare screen is a must have for eye strain. Back lit Keyboard was a " must have" and this one is not overstated, just functional and unassuming. Mine was built with an Intel® Core™ i5-540M Processor. So far running cool and quiet. Seems to execute common actions more swiftly than my other Laptops. Keyboard and palmrest feel solid not flimsy. A host of ports to cover everything you might need.

  • Summary: I love my new M6500 Precision Laptop! It is extremely fast, and stable. I could not be happier! With the I7 920XM Extreme processor, 1080P RGB non-glare display, and ATI GPU it handles everything I throw at it with ease! I highly recommend it!

This is the best all around laptop available from any manufacturer.

roadkingal, Ebay
30 May 2013
  • Summary: Great machine as long as you know how to set these up. Don't expect to install as from the factory on the first try. Driver disks are available all over ebay, I do recomend it will make the job much easier, but as far as getting all of the security and automatic dell upgrade software on the machine will take 1 out of 100 techs to get it right. Dell used very light aluminum sheet skin rolled for lcd back and with additional parts, epoxied in.

I'm not surprised Dell is in trouble

Philip Menke, Amazon
4 March 2013
  • Summary: I've been using Dell computers from Optiplexes with 486 processors onwards, and never had big nasty issues with them. OK, the mice on some of the older lattitudes somethimes would go funny but that's it. Those boxes would go on for ever. Now, about two years ago I was up for a replacement, and as business was good, and I need a machine with a lot of oomph so I can run several VMWares at a time, they told me I could get one of the more powerful machines Dell was making at...
