Summary: I wanted to love this machine. I fell for the hard sell from Dell when I sought comparisons with the Dell XPS and MacBook. Here's why I just hate it: 1. The USB ports don't work with my devices. After a big time sink with tech support, they replaced the motherboad.
Good for office programs and Internet, not portability or design work

Summary: Bought this for work, graphic design, because we cant run Mac. I have actually never owned a Mac just wanted something to run Adobe Suite fluidly, especially Illustrator and everyone says "MacBook Pro". For me this does not, i only got the 12gb of RAM because i thought it would be able to handle it.
Summary: Got this computer for work. Which I'm glad I didn't spend money it cause it's TERRIBLE. Pros: light, compact, powerful i7 processor. Cons: 1. Cheap construction. Yes it's light but it's pretty much made of plastic.
Summary: I usually do not write reviews; unless it is a very good or bad experience. l was in the market for a high-performance lightweight laptops for photography editing(Photoshop + Other workflow applications) and decided on Dell M3800. I have this laptop for over 6 months now.

Summary: I have been a user of Thinkpads for the past few years and wanted to try something out. My primary use is for writing software. I have used Thinkpad T60p, T61p, W520 and W530 for the past 7 years. While I still had by W530, I got this Dell Precision M3800 - my first touch laptop.

Summary: Ok, let's start with the drawbacks : - Glossy screens are NOT a good idea, but most of the laptops provides that today. - The ubuntu pre-installed was nowhere near well installed. Had to do a fresh install.
More power than you could imagine from something so light

Summary: I purchased this laptop directly through dell to run engineering software. Customizing it from dell may be the way to go. I built mine with the 91kwh battery which is slightly larger than the standard 61kwh.
Summary: This laptop was issued to me by the IT department in my company. I use it for hard core CAD work and it is a terrible machine. The touch pad and keyboard are not designed to be ergonomically comfortable and I end up only using a USB keyboard and mouse.
Summary: This is probably the worst laptop I've ever owned. I've had it as a work laptop for 6 months and my IT is now replacing it with a Latitude. As a corporation we are not buying any more . Here are the problems with my particular machine - Slow boot up despite fast processor and lots of memory.
Summary: This is the worst machine for the price. It has tons of problem. #1 When you connect to external monitor the screen goes blank randomly. This is seriously annoying #2 Battery: Sometime chargers doesn't charge battery at all although symbol shows it's charging.
