Dell Precision M3800

Techworld
12 February 2014
  • Summary: We have mixed feelings about the Dell M3800. It squeezes incredible performance into a thin and light chassis, with superb build quality. But its poor battery life is unacceptable, and there's no easy fix for the DPI issues in some Windows desktop software. There are also a few niggling issues such as slow 802.11ac wireless performance.

Review Dell Precision M3800 Workstation

Notebookcheck
28 January 2014
  • Summary: Workstation to go. Dell's Precision M3800 is an ultrabook-shaped mobile workstation, combining powerful components with a slim chassis. Our in-depth review will show whether this device is capable of delivering in all crucial fields, and not just in terms of looks.
  • Pros: Weight, Ultrabook dimensions, Sturdiness, Build quality, System performance, CAD performance, Display, Touch functionality, Connectivity, Input Devices, Maintenance Options, Warranty and Service Options, The chassis doesn't look at all like that of an ordinary workstation, and we mean that as a compliment. It is pretty much every bit as slick as a powerful ultrabook . We are also quite fond of the display with its great feature list and a perfect touch panel.
  • Cons: Warranty timeframe, Maximum display opening angle, No propietary docking port, Security features, Glossy display, Typical business-oriented ports, a less glossy display surface, a longer warranty period and more flexibility in terms of configuration options.

Dell Precision M3800

LAPTOP Magazine
27 January 2014
  • Summary: The Dell Precision M3800 laptop is an exercise in elegant productivity. The company has created the world's thinnest, slimmest workstation. For $2,499, power users get a notebook with a powerful Core i7 processor, an Nvidia Quadro GPU and a mesmerizing 3200 x 1800 display.
  • Pros: Sleek elegant design, Powerful graphics and performance, Beautiful QHD display, Above-average battery life
  • Cons: Missing some ports, Not as durable as other workstations

Expert Review

PC Advisor
6 February 2014
  • Excerpt: The Dell Precision M3800 is a mobile workstation notebook that closely resembles the company's XPS 15 Touch gaming laptops . Measuring 18 mm with the screen closed, it's conspicuously thin, at least compared with most mobile Windows workstations that have a chassis thickness measured in inches. Imponerende bærbar

komputer.no
29 June 2014
