How Does Dell's Latitude X1 Laptop Compare?

Tom's Guide
24 October 2005
  • Summary: On average, the Dell Latitude X1 performed on a par with its same CPU mate Averatec's AV1050. Generally the other four comparable laptops with their 1.2 GHz CPUs did a little better than the X1 and the 1000. The two 1.1 GHz Pentium M 733 computers racked up SYSmark 2004 SE Overall Benchmark scores of 104 (Dell) and 95 (Averatec). The X1's score is only 4 lower than Fujitsu Lifebook P6110D's top score of 108.

Not too big, not too small

Consumer Electronics Net
17 August 2005
  • Excerpt: If youre looking for a small, thin and light notebook that still has plenty of power for PowerPoint presentations, Photoshop editing, voice recognition, and even video editing, the Dell Latitude X1 ($1895 with $100 Dell small business rebate) might make your short list. We packed up the X1 and took it along on two grueling road trips, performing every function a road warrior might need on a typical field adventure.

Dell Latitude X1

PC Advisor
2 July 2006
  • Summary: At just over 1.1kg the Latitude X1 from Dell is aimed at people who travel around a lot in the course of their work. Even with the external optical drive it'll slip into a rucksack or large handbag without a problem.

Dell Latitude X1

15 March 2006
  • Summary: This is both a small and light notebook, however it has a more than acceptable 1280x768 screen resolution and it is probably small enough to fit in a ‘poachers pocket’

Latitude X1: Dells leichtestes Notebook

2 July 2006

Tom's Hardware Guide
26 December 2005

  • Cons: Nincs benne optikai meghajtó, hajlamos a melegedésre, nincs benne PC kártya illesztõ
