Summary: What I needed, a no-glitz heavy duty workhorse computer at a low price. Has a lot of well thought out features. Not the latest but it seems to have good logistics support and I hope to have it for a long time.
Summary: Looks almost brand new, runs fast and feels solid. It isn't the lightest 14" laptop I have used, but it is by far the fastest, has many great features, eSATA, USB 3.0 and even a display port. I would definitely purchase another one of these in the future when I need another laptop, especially for the price. Dell still makes this model to sell new, so I save a bundle.
Built like a Sherman Tank and fast! I really like it.

Summary: I got issues one of these computers for work and wow - I am impressed. In all seriousness this may be the nicest laptop I've ever had and I have personal HP, Gateway and Toshiba machines at home. Likes: Fast! This thing is almost as fast as my I7 chip desktop with twice as much RAM. Built well. It's not the mil spec version but it's built nice and solid. Good screen for a 14' machine. 1600x900, and it's bright and sharp.
Summary: I spent some time with this machine when I set it up for a customer we bought it for. The machine I am reviewing is the "s" model, which was custom configured for the customer. This is the newest variant of the Latitude business-class notebook PC's. The e6430 is designed to have the same footprint as a 13" notebook, but sports a larger 14" display.
