Summary: While outwardly this unit looked as though it was a great laptop for the money, the 'refurbished' one I rec'd had a terribly loose hinge, dead keys seriously outdated BIOS and a picky AC power input jack. Waiting word on getting it replaced.
Good for a bargain hunter willing to invest a little time on any issues.

Summary: I purchased this refurbished product because I wanted a new computer for my wife to replace her old Vista machine. She was not terribly computer savvy and easily frustrated so I needed a Windows 7 machine preferably, rather than Windows 8, which led me to check refurbished machines. I got a good deal on it initially at $220 delivered, with an I-5 processor, mid size hard drive etc, plenty for someone that mainly just surfs the net.
Summary: It was advertized as like new but it has some sizable dings in the lid and many scratches. The operating system Win 7 has some kind of group policy security setting that will not allow me to view or change Windows Features under the Program and Features option.
Summary: I like the Dell, it arrived a day after the last expected shipping date, which would have been no big deal, other than rescheduling my work around the last anticipated day and then extending that. But I got the delivery and it is a very nice computer...the sound is AWFULL. Turned all the way up, it can barely be heard from 2 feet away. And although these have cameras, this one doesn't work.
