Summary: This machine is definitely worth the money. Granted the packaging wasn't the best, it still works. Very little cosmetic damage.
Pros: This machine is just what I was hoping for. My partner has an identical laptop for his work, just better specs. I expected a nice machine, good speed, but woah! I didn't expect such a good price for how much power it has. I replaced a D630 with this unit and I'm rather happy with it so far. I also was pleasantly surprised when I saw I have an actual Dell AC adapter with it, not a third party one.
Cons: It had one scratch on the bottom of the unit, not uncommon and you can't really see it that well. Not enough to take an egg off the review, unlike some reviews I've seen. I usually laugh at what they say.
Cons: The laptop arrived with barely sufficient packaging. There was no Win7 product key attached to it; unable to activate windows. In the product description it was stated as refurbished. I guess refurbished means slapping a piece of brushed aluminum vinyl on the lid to make it look good. The power supply isn't the original, just something that was pulled out of the bin. And not I can see why it's listed as "non-refundable"
Summary: Great laptop that fits my needs. It runs fast at 2.67ghz and doesn't draw lots of battery power. I just love the lighted keyboard feature. I have a Lenovo which is comparable T430, but it is not as easy to work on if parts need replacing.
Pros: Quite good condition cosmetically. Very clean. Displays are in perfect condition. The Windows 7, SP1 license activated online without requiring a call to Microsoft and I had no problems installing the 250+ patches.
Cons: One battery has only 43% remaining life according to Nirsoft Battery Info View. I found newer drivers for the motherboard, graphics, and Ethernet adapter on the Intel site.
Pros: I was nervous, as you cant always be sure on a refurb. But the unit was super clean, and seems to work like a champ. The power cables ( the AC cable) is NOT original and rather short... but ti works
