Good Price for Refurbished, Sturdy i5 Laptop with One Year Warranty
25 May 2014
Pros: For the price this is the best bargain I found. This is the only (?) $300 reburb on NewEgg with a one-year warranty included. Mine came with i5 2.53 ghz--not the advertised 2.40 ghz---so not sure if this is standard or pure luck. The Windows Experience Index rating is a 4.3. Graphics got the lowest score. The scores in all other categories are 5.3 or above, with the processor rating a 6.9 out of possible 7.9. The aluminum case is sturdy. Windows 7 vs. 8 = no need for ...
Cons: The provided battery does not last long. You will want to invest in a 6 cell battery for extended use where a plug-in is unavailable.
Summary: This used laptop upgraded to Windows 7 with Microsoft Office Business was an outstanding deal. It is extremely responsive and is serving my wife well as a replacement for her old XP desktop machine. Not a single glitch so far.
Summary: One star off because it did not come with the software it said it would on the ad, but 4 stars because the company was good at communicating, admitted the mistake immediately, and came to a reasonable resolution with us. The product itself is definitely refurbished (and looks it - a bit heavy, a few scratches), but for the price - you really can't beat it. Works well and we are very pleased with the purchase.
Summary: tops hardware met my expectations 5 out of 5 stars. The software was not Dells original load so I had to add some drivers. But the unit has worked very well as I had bought this for my son for his school work and games. You also couldn't beat the price.
Summary: I have always had Dell computers. I wanted a small laptop for my bedroom my old laptop had stopped working a few years ago. This is great, its fast reliable. I disliked nothing I am completely satisfied with it. Compared to my previous laptop also a dell, its lighter, faster I love it, without a doubt its much better than the inspiron, Its well worth the money.
