Summary: I was happy with the purchase as they were quick to get the item to me and well packed. The only drawback was the HDD was going out and I couldn't trust it so I have to buy a new replacement. So I bought a SSD HDD and I am hoping nothing else needs replacing. Right now after looking at current prices with what I have spent I could have purchase a new laptop for about the same price. It pays to check new verses refurbed.
Summary: My very first laptop was a 03' dell 8500 laptop that was refurbished and later told to another family member and it lasted up until 3 years ago, when the family member told me it died a quiet quick death. Even though I'm a die heart Toshiba fan i'd take a dell laptop in a pinch because of my experience with these items.
Summary: so this is the same computer as I have had, cept not broken... emphasis on the NOT part. I purchased this computer to replace one I had which was on its death bed. this was about 170 (prices vary on amazon I know, but bear with me). I was soon made aware the comp I had was more customized than what traditional rolled out of dells doors. the screen was not the best, the finger print biometrics scanner was not part of the one I received, and it wasn't as fast.
Summary: Iam kindy pissed off because it says it needs a charger with 90 hz not 60hz and now the labtop wont cut on because of the charger or the battery but it says t needs the 90hz charger and want my charger or new batttery or i want my money back
Summary: Product has been working fine, except for the fact that the CD-DVD player does not get recognized at start-up! This has been the case since bought, it's not a major issue as I don't need to used it but I am disappointed that I was not warned about the potential issue by the seller.
Excerpt: This laptop is issued to me by my employer, and I am glad I didn't have to spend money on it. It is generally adequate for business purposes, because it has a large enough hard drive, and it usually runs smoothly on a normal day. However, there have been multiple issues with it. The first problem was that the USB ports don't work. They do not recognize simple plug-and-play devices like a dumb mouse or a USB thumb drive.
Excerpt: The Dell latitude is a well rounded machine that bigs you a decent amount of bang for your buck. The machine is smooth running but slightly bulkier than other models I have used. Also, some of the hardware doesn't work quite as well as expected, but still has the power to accomplish most of my tasks without difficulty. The biggest problem I have is when doing any sort of graphic design which slows the computer considerably. Overall, it's a sturdy machine.
