Summary: I have a few dell d620's, they are durable for the money, this last one I bought has a bad hard drive and no memory, so new hard drive and load windows and 2 gig memory on board, its actually up and running, overall when any of the dells actually break down, I will have parts for the others, I plan on buying 2 more in the near future....
Summary: Very good laptop. Working great. Highly recommended. Would purchase another one if needed. This is working great for my schooling. Also using for keeping records of finnces. Very good graphics and works great.
Excerpt: Our laptop is a Dell D620 it is a light weight laptop and it came with the Windows XP operating system onboard. It also has DVD re writer which is excellent as we use this to back up all our important documents and most importantly of all the …
Summary: It was good until I had to do a reinstall of Windows XP on it. And then months down the road the hard drive had went on it,so I couldn't afford to purchase a new hard drive for it, so I got rid of it and got a new laptop. Casing on the laptop was falling apart around screen and keyboard. Keyboard started to not work at all. Made a funny sound when I got it. Cost more than what the laptop was worth to make an attempt to fix it.
Summary: A good refurbished laptop. This one came with a faster CPU and a real NVidia graphics chip. They load up a fresh Windows 7 with a new keycode sticker, and add a few odd pieces of software, which I removed. The support from the refurbisher is thorough, and slow. I had to remind them a few times to send replacement parts. They are very cooperative and realistic in dealing with support.
Pros: Finally works as it should. Good support. Came with faster CPU and NVidia graphics chip. Quite clean. Fresh W7 load.
Cons: Took weeks to get a good battery and power pack. Support is thorough, but not fast. W7 took several hours to get updated and add virus protection.
Summary: I've been working on this laptop for 3 days. I only use this as an extra unit in my home office, so it's only used for basic office applications and internet. No gaming or live-streaming. The screen is light in one spot and dark in another. I had an alert sound on this laptop and it created this awful noise that I can only describe as a computer being possessed. It only happened one time while the volume was near it's peak and has not happened since I lowered the volume.
Summary: Really disappointed in NewEgg, I thought out of all the computer product companies that I Could trust them, turns out I was wrong.
Pros: Pros? I can't even come up with anything right now. It has Windows 7, which is the only thing on the laptop that seems to match up with what is advertised.
Cons: Where do I start? The CMOS battery is dying, so the laptop is constantly having issues with the time, and with Windows updates. The actual battery on the laptop is dying/or on it's way to being completely dead, so it's awesome to have a laptop that you can't actually TAKE anywhere. The hard drive was advertised as 120GB, but in actuality it's only 100GB.
Summary: Great price for a great laptop. I would suggest checking all drivers for proper installation, or take it to someone who can as drivers are improperly installed when received, but overall a great deal!
Summary: May take it to local shop to redo setup. Annoying.
Pros: Average laptop. Has 4 usb ports, vga port.
Cons: Refurbisher really messed with setup. Had to System Restore twice during setup and still isn't correct as I get a screen saying "setting up for 1st time use" every time I boot the machine. Screen somewhat dull unable to brighten. Couldn't install Norton as it wouldn't accept it. Getting use to Win 7.
