Summary: It's a little slow, but I upgraded to Vista from XP, and that helped a lot. Think about adding some RAM if you are going to use it very often. I'm retiring my other laptop, and don't use a computer often, so it works really well for what I do with it.
Summary: Unfortunately I had to return it. It would not connect with my Verizon wireless router. I wish the vendor would have offered a replacement. I am still without a back-up computer which was my reason for orering this.
Summary: I received the product and tested it and it functioned perfectly so I wrapped it up for a Christmas gift. after it was unwrapped for Christmas and power turned on it failed to boot up. The "A" LED flashes about 9 times then the power turns off. It never boots up. Not too happy about this.
Excerpt: When I began working at my current job I was provided with the standard issue Dell Latitude D610 laptop for my business computer. After almost a year and a half, and a great deal of use, it's time to move on to a different laptop. About the Dell Latitude D610 For the past five years, I have seen nothing but Dell laptops issued within multiple companies. They're the standard workhorse laptop for a mobile workforce.
Excerpt: The Dell Latitude is a very average laptop. It has some pros, but the cons definitely outway them. Its rather heavy, very bulky, and uncomfortable to carry abound. You would think that because of its bulkyness it would be sturdy but beware, it is not. On multiple dell laptops I have owned in the past this seems to be a problem. I've had screens replaced after multiple tightenings, the brackets won't stay tight!
Excerpt: My husband has had this laptop for almost five years, which is a decent life for a laptop, but he's hoping to replace it sometime. That won't be feasible anytime soon, though, since we just replaced mine (which at almost seven years old was running faster than this model). It's sturdy and it's held up great over the years, though, and I don't think he's ever had to have any repairs done on it. It has a nice resolution and screen size and isn't too heavy.
Excerpt: This laptop will fulfill your basic needs. It has all of the software on it I need for working at home, but it does need upgrading for any kind of gaming in your off-hours. Sound is pretty good for a laptop - not the quality, the loudness. It's a bit cheap-sounding, but it gets decent volume for doing presentations to small groups. The touch pad is awful, and I've had to cover it up with cardboard so I don't keep sending incomplete emails!
Summary: This laptop takes too long to connect to the internet. Sometimes it does not have internet connections. This gave me hard time every time I open it. Just like a while ago, it took 3 hours after I've opened it to get internet connections when in fact my other two computers were easily connected to internet. Oh, I hate this!
