Summary: This was purchased as the first computer for a child and works well for that purpose. Be aware the RAM will need an upgrade (it's not expensive and easy to do yourself) in order to do much or have good speed, but that's to be expected with an older laptop. With an upgrade to 2GB RAM (the maximum this model will use) and maintaining the Windows XP OS it works very, very well for most purposes.
Summary: This computer is fine for the first time user who does not need a lot of thing like MS Word or Office. It is a good computer for what it is. Since it is an older computer it is very slow and a lot of the up-dated programs are too large for it.
Summary: While this computer is completely functional, when it arrived not only was the battery not charged, it was completely dead. While the seller states several times that they do not guarantee the battery's usefulness I did expect it to have some life in it. Also, you cannot play dvds on it. And one last minor point...it showed more than "signs of wear"....mine had big dents all over the case. I expect that the computer is close to 10 years old.
Summary: This is a good laptop for students. A very good price also. If you want to save like $50.00, then buy this laptop. If you would rather spent an extra $50. - $100. on a brand new laptop then that's your choice. The only few problems i have with this laptop is that it gets hot within a hour of being online, and it makes a weird clicking noise once it gets too hot.
Summary: Laptop did not come with disc,as advertised and there was a problem with internet connection, had to have a tech come over and fix the problem. Delivery took 3 weeks even though it was supposed to be 1 weeek. When I called customer service for tracking information and they said they would get back to me, they never did. So much for out-sourced customer service. Will not be ordering from this person again.
