Summary: This thing was slow, wouldn't connect to the router (yes, I know what I'm doing) and the hard drive died after 2 months. Dell support wasn't bad, but after sending it in to get repaired it just never worked right.
Summary: I ordered this notebook because I thought it would be the perfect solution to fulfull my basic needs such as surfing the web, downloading song, etc. When it first arrived I was surprised by how compact it was and also how cool it looked. When I turned it on, I noticed that the programs seemed quite old... microsoft works, etc. I don't think I've used Works for almost 15 years. But, "oh well" I thought since I'd use my desktop for word processing needs.
Summary: I have a few of the Dell Mini's floating around the office, and have been happy with all of them, until this one. I had ordered all of them from Dell directly, but saw Amazon had this one for less than Dell. Combine that with my Amazon Prime shipping, and it seemed like a great deal. A week later, and I have a laptop with a dead hardrive. Fine. Hardware fails.
Excerpt: I first got this laptop as a laptop for school work. I figured a nice small laptop would be the best choice for someone who has a plethora of books and folders to carry around. So I got it and as time went on using it I realized it was not a good laptop for really anything but surfing the net.
Pros: - Small and easy to carry around
Cons: - No CD drives - Very slow to use when other things are installed .
Summary: It is my school laptop and is 4 years old used by different students each year. The computer has seemed to become worse over time. The battery can only stand for about 20 minutes, the screen cracked (you can blame me for that). The RAM has seemed to get worse, opening Google Chrome and other programs is glitchy. It takes very long for the computer to pick up a USB. These are big disadvantages for school especially the battery life.
Pros: rugged, good resolution.
Cons: Low battery, not powerful, PC getting worse over time.
