Review Dell Latitude 2100 Netbook

Notebookcheck
11 November 2009
  • Conclusion: The Dell Latitude 2100 is consistently trimmed for schools and major customers . The robust case, the numerous options for support, warranty, and equipment should especially appeal to the target group and allow a number of possibilities barely offered by others.
  • Pros: Robust and resistant case, Long battery life, Well-equipped, Good keyboard, Many options, Availble with Linux, Many support options, Silent system noise, The good base configuration and the numerous options.
  • Cons: High weight, Bulky design, Adverse interface arrangement, Lurid indicator-LEDs, Small touch screen, low-contrast display, not outdoor-capable, difficult to upgrade/maintain, A smarter support of the touch screen.

Review: Dell Latitude 2100

Wired
13 August 2009
  • Excerpt: The Dell Latitude 2100 is a lot like a box of Froot Loops: It’s clearly meant for kids but also easily enjoyed (sometimes secretly) by adults. The 2100’s most striking feature is the matte, rubber-like coating that envelops the netbook. Its grainy texture lets tiny, slippery fingers get a firm grip.
  • Pros: Cool, tough rubber exterior coating. Adult-sized keyboard also accommodates the smallest hands. Responsive trackpad. Snappy performance. Clear window on front of chassis meant for student’s name tag.
  • Cons: Tattletale web browsing light a little too Big Brother for our tastes. Optional extras drive up the price tag quickly. Chunky monkey power adapter.

Dell Latitude 2100

ZDNet
1 June 2009
  • Summary: The Latitude 2100 is an interesting answer to customising for the needs of schools. As a by-product, Dell has created a robust little netbook that can just as easily be tossed around by any techie who likes to work roughly.
  • Pros: Quite rugged, Business level warranty, Good keyboard, Gigabit Ethernet, Decent battery life
  • Cons: Network activity light isn't very granular, 576-pixel screen height can be limiting, Polarising looks

  • Cons: Pesante, Design massiccio, Disposizione delle interfacce difficoltosa, Indicatori LED, Touch screen piccolo, Schermo a basso contrasto, inadatto all'uso all'aperto, Difficile da aggiornare e manutenere
