Summary: This is a nice little laptop. I had a problem where a message kept popping up, saying "Windows is not genuine." Although the warranty period had passed, I contacted Windows IT Tech and he fixed the problem over the internet. Now it's all good. I bought identical machines for my wife and daughter.
Summary: i purchased this laptop from dell last march because the 7 year old inspiron 600m that my bro gave me was getting really outdated. we were short on cash and i was tied between this and a vaio laptop in walmart. i bought this one cause the specs were better and the vaio was refurbished. mine had 4gb of ram, a 2.66ghz i3 processor, a 500gb hdd, and intel hd graphics (eww). when i first got it, the laptop was pretty fast and reliable.
Summary: I'm running the default windows 7 OS on this and have been using it for over a year now. I have been using computers since the 80's and this is like my 20th laptop. Battery life is pretty bad, which is more a reflection on the quality of battery used than the actual computer. Mousepad gets in the way of typing, but that's really no surprise and is easily disabled. Unit is fairly lightweight considering its rather bulky form factor. Bluetooth doesn't work properly.
