Summary: I was looking for a portable one mainly for travel.and it was perfect for that purpose. It also was a good one for the dining table, when needed in a hurry, because it did not take much space.Unlike an I phone that could not be displayed to the others at the table, (for being too small),this computer could be small enough ,yet could be observed without people having to move out of their chair space. It facilitated conversation, and worked as a visual aid.
Excerpt: I used my Dell mini 9 until it dies this past summer. It had been been fixed so many times but it was one tough laptop that it survived 4 years and a handful of repairs. I have small hands so the small keyboard was great for me. I never had any issues typing with it. The screen was small but a good enough size for me to see what I was doing or watch a movie or show. I did have some sound issues and webcam issues but that all occurred after the first Dell repair.
Excerpt: Dell Mini 9 Pros: it is quite nice looking, and it has different options of colors to choose from. it is light ,small, and just great to bring around school. It is very easy to upgrade the components on this netbook. Open the back, the memory is accessible, and the harddrive is accessible. Cons: Its kinda little to small to use the keyboard The hard drive space is limited Reviewer is an employee or otherwise affiliated with the brand.
Excerpt: Dell Mini 8 GB solid state hard drive with Linix Ubunto operating system. One month or less after purchase I had a mini netbook that would not connect to the internet wirelessly if on battery power. I talked to Dell tech support weekly for several months untill they told me to reinstall the operating and do not allow the laptop to download and install any of the automatic upgrades. That was the solution so if you do not upgrade it works great!
