  • Excerpt: I can’t believe all the great reviews for this laptop, I bought one for £1400 in 2003 and have never had so many problems with anything before. Whilst the laptop was extremely powerful for its time with great hardware and range of features and built quality was terrible.
  • Pros: Good speed
  • Cons: Terrible build quality, poor customer service

  • Excerpt: I was after a desktop replacement that offered a really high res screen (1600x1200), big hard drive and a fast CPU. After much looking around, it seemed like the Dell 5150 fitted the bill.
  • Pros: Speed, big HD, High res screen
  • Cons: fan positioning, heat, heavy PSU

  • Excerpt: This is the first laptop that I have personally owned however, I chose a Dell because I had purchased/used/maintained many of them in my role at the time - Tech Support. I dont consider them to be the top of the line but I think they are certainly in the top few.
  • Pros: Great quality laptop with plenty of processing power
  • Cons: a little on the heavy side

  • Excerpt: I purchased my Dell Inspiron 5150, December 2003 and since that time it has served me very well as a versatile notebook computer. The fast Intel processor (with HT technology) running at 3.06Ghz is still considered to be a very quick speed even almost 2 years after i purchased it.
  • Pros: Fast, Upradable, robust, Longevity
  • Cons: Heavy weight, Graphics cards, Gets quite hot
