Summary: This computer will drive you mad. My god I want my money back! Known touchpad issues make you want to throw this POS across the room. The audio crackles using speakers or headphones due I presume to some sort of driver issues. Now I am getting the message that the battery is "Disabled" so I am now tethered to the wall with my AC cord. Google all three of these issues and you will find that MANY others have the very SAME problems with this piece of trash.
Summary: Overall this is a great college laptop. It is the perfect size and weight for transporting. I got mine already updated to windows 8.1, and I actually really like the operating system, especially with the touch screen. Boot time is very fast. The hardware is amazing considering the price. It is a little slow at times, but hey, this is a $300 laptop. I love the touch screen and almost use it exclusively. I love taking notes with my stylus! Plenty of ports.
Summary: have not had opportunity to use it (it's a bday present for child). My ratings are based solely on price and value unused. I will possibly try and update this once we use it. It looks sharp and is a great size for a kid/teen.
Summary: I was given this laptop by a family member after my 2007 Macbook finally died. They had won it in a giveaway so luckily this computer was free. I hate it. It's unbearably slow. At times it refuses to load websites even though I have a good internet connection. Trying to play youtube videos can be futile at times. Either they just won't play or it freezes. It's really impossible to stream anything on this computer.
