  • Excerpt: This is my third dell and I have always been happy with their product. The first unit I received turned out to have a bad drive that caused a wait of 35 minutes minimum for it to wake up regardless of how it was put to sleep. A replacement unit was shipped immediately and it works perfect. It is a nice clean aluminum finish ( much better than the cheap feeling black plastic ). The system is very fast and multi-tasks fluidly.

  • Excerpt: You can get a Dell laptop Pretty much anywhere, but the reasons to get it from B&H are clear: not only was this particular laptop significantly cheaper at B&H, it was delivered the very next day for free. In addition, searching and researching on the B&H website is easy and inclusive of the relevant information. B&H is simply a great place to shop for service, selection and price. Thanks!

If the laptop breaks down, don't expect Dell to fix it

  • Summary: I'm a long time buyer of Dells. Have recommended them to family, friends and students. I also realize that every computer company produces lemons. I was unlucky enough to get a lemon. OK, it happens. Within 4 months of getting the laptop there were problems. After hours with polite tech support it was determined that the mother board needed to be replaced. After several weeks of waiting for on-site support, it was repaired (repair guy very good). OK, this happens.

  • Summary: Suppose to have lighted keyboard, does not. No way to change processor speed either though it says you are suppose to be able to. No setting in Cmos to boot with numlock on. you have to set it on each time you boot. GRRRR on that. Need to check for manual to see if there is a way to set it from windows.

  • Summary: If I could give this computer negative stars I would. It was fine at first, but now, any time I gently move it or touch it, the entire thing turns off and restarts. Then, the worst part...customer service, tech support, everyone at Dell is a total moron. I have spoken to 9 different people, for a total of 6 hours on the phone and no one is willing to help, and every time I am put on hold, it hangs up, so clearly no one knows how to put people on hold over there.
