Summary: This is a very attractive and easy to use laptop. But, beware, do not go on looks. We had to repair the same 3 times in the first year and had to pay $200 to extend the warranty for the second year. Within 6 months the monitor screen crashed and within a month after that the motherboard crashed.
Summary: I am going out of my way to warn all future purchasers of my horrible experience with Dell and this computer. I purchased this labtop two years ago from Dell at a premium with the extended warranty on the hardware and software I thought. Within 24 hours of receiving this computer, it crashed.
Do NOT waste your money-POS computer and customer service

Summary: I wish I could rate this product with half of a star if that. I purchased this computer on Black Friday 2010. I thought its a Dell and it was a great price. I should have bought anything BUT a Dell. I have had this computer for 2 years and the hard drive has given out 3 times.
Summary: I purchased A Dell laptop, and it has been nothing but problems. The laptop is a piece of garbage. I bought one through Staples, lucky me I bought the extended warranty program. It has broken three times for major items. The last time they replaced the motherboard.
Summary: DO NOT BUY DELL PRODUCTS. They have horrible customer service. They lie to you, you spend countless hours on the phone with them not getting any results, you talk to people who barely speak English. DO NOT BUY DELL PRODUCTS.
Summary: Does everything ok - but in the first year, hard drive died and fought to get it replaced. But worse- the cheap top lid /plastic cover cracked at the hinges and it won't stay open and the crack gets progressively worse, making it unusable.
Summary: O.K. received a Dell Inspiron 1545 last christmas. Was going back to college and needed something of my own since with 2 kids I couldnt get to the office computer at home. 5 months after receivng the computer. The harddrive crashes In the middle of stdying for my A&P 1 class. The screen goes black.
Summary: The 1545 I bought a year and half ago ($500) has already failed. It began to freeze, now it won't start up at all. I was very happy with the performance for the first year, no problems. But I don't intend on replacing parts after only a year and a half.
Summary: I got ripped off by dell two times off the same computer. One was with the Windows 7 upgrade I was suppossed to get. Long story, I got hosed, but they actually had the gall to say that my computer didn't qualify when I can still see the d%$#@ sticker at Best Buy saying that I got it.
