Summary: I used this computer before I could afford enogh money, as I got it a while ago, forgot about it, and then found it again. It can barely run games, videos, etc. and works okay at browsing the web. Lots of times, it freezes, then you hear it cooling and it runs again, which takes about 5 min.
Summary: This laptop is good for todays programs and still has good specs. My problems with it is its battery gets EXTREMELY hot and can burn you, also the fan is not good at releasing heat. The battery life also sucks for any battery, and these batterys are in need of replacement almost every 2 years.
Summary: Okay... I have Dell Inspiron 1525 purchased from Bestbuy.com 3-4 years ago. Pros. Well, here is the trick. I upgraded the hard drive to a 7200 RPM hard drive and made it is duel boot with Ubuntu 11.04. and Windows 7. Result.... No tricky mouse pad in ubuntu.
Ok for the current price but several hardware issues

Summary: I have been buying Dell computers for the past couple years and I think its about time for a change. Overall, I've been satisfied with their performance but I seem to have recurring hardware issues. I've noticed that almost every Dell I've owned has had CD drive issues.
Summary: I've had this laptop since Feb of last year, have the ruby red and that's rather daring when you're straight but seriously it has quite a decent finish (if not the best) I have a 9 cell battery which makes the laptop a little heavier and I do regret getting it and that's not because I paid extra but...
Summary: This is not a "lap" top. Every time it is on my lap it overheats. I have to put it on the corner of the table so it can "blow off steam." The fan goes on a lot because the ventilation vents are on the bottom. Other than that, it is OK.
