Summary: I used this computer before I could afford enogh money, as I got it a while ago, forgot about it, and then found it again. It can barely run games, videos, etc. and works okay at browsing the web. Lots of times, it freezes, then you hear it cooling and it runs again, which takes about 5 min. One of the hinges popped of as well, which was suprising as I seldom used this computer back when I first bought it.
Excerpt: I bought my dell about one year ago and I can promise I will never buy one again. I have no children in the home so it is only me that uses it and I take care of my stuff. In the last year I have had to buy a new battery, charger ( that does not charge my laptop) and a laptop fan. My laptop has lasted about 10 months and I am missing keys that have just fallen and now it overheats and shuts down at the most important times. like in the middle of writting a review.
Excerpt: I have had a lot of laptops (most through my work) and this one is a decent laptop. I have had it for almost 2 years and my only major complaint is the battery life is short. I bought the upgraded battery with extended time and now 2 years later, the battery barely holds a charge for an hour (it used to hold a charge for 4+ hours).
Excerpt: Meh. I've had this laptop for about three years now. It's reliable, yes, and it's not broken yet. However, Vista sucks. Seriously. If it didn't have Vista on it, I'd be rating it five stars, but since it does, and Vista has wayy too many bugs that still haven't been worked out, it gets three.
Dell Inspiron - A Neat Laptop, with pretty bad sound system
9 September 2012
Excerpt: Now this Dell inspiron1525 was gifted to me by my hubby on feb 14th. This was just the apt gift for me being a computer savvy. Now what i love to do on Laptops is to watch movies, and the biggest disadvantage of the very system is the sound system. Now while watching a movie if there isnt pin drop slience then....thereeeee goes my movie. I have to keep shusssssing the people around me to hear the dialogues.
Excerpt: So i am a college student who was in need of a laptop, so i bought a Dell Inspiron 1525. I was very happy and things was going great. Until recently, what had happened was the touchpad was "studdering" and i couldn't seem to figure out why. So i first went to Dell's website and complaint and they told me to backup or restore my computer, so i did. But the problem still continued.
Excerpt: I like to chose dell laptops because you are able to customize them online which its something you can't do for an instore purchase. This saves you money in needing to add hardware or software at a later date. For instance I use a N router in my home and most laptops in store do not have this included. With dell I can add it to my laptop before the build for a cheaper price than buying and installing wireless card my self.
Dell Inspirion 1525--there has to be better for the same money..
9 September 2012
Excerpt: Having owned only a Dell Inspirion 1525 laptop computer, I am somewhat hesistant in even making this review. I have had to have the Dell serviced twice for overheating issues (so has my Mom and brother-in-law), which would be my biggest complaint with the computer. Even after having it serviced, it still overheats. The computer itself not only overheats, but so does the cord connected to it which I feel could be a potential saftety hazard.
Excerpt: I have enjoyed my laptop. It works well for what I want to do- basic computing, word processing, some programming. I don't use it much for gaming. I have had a problem upgrading my system to Windows 7. The audio drivers do not seem to want to work and I have tried redownloading them, but I have not managed to solve the problem yet. It holds a battery life really well. It lasts for about 2 1/2 hours when I am connected to the internet.
