  • Summary: The cooling system for the CPU is a new design that had not been well tested. The CPU overheats and shuts the computer down, especially when the computer is used while charging or when connected to an HDMI screen. This is a problem reported by many users.   • Summary: My screen is being held up by yellow duck-tape. The battery is crap, it stopped charging 4 months after having it. It still runs, but it's super slow. I'm really looking forward to getting a new laptop, I'll NEVER buy DELL again.

  • Summary: I've had two Dell laptops. On both of them the mousepad stopped working within months. (Why I bought the second laptop I dont know.) On the 1525, everything seems to have fallen apart. Even worse, it didn't come with driver disks or any of the oem software on disks.

  • Summary: You would be an idiot if you bought anything Dell. Any company that won't warranty obvious design screw-ups should not be in business. I bought a Dell Inspiron 1525 from Best Buy, mistakes on both counts. I was suckered into buying Best Buys warranty program.

do not buy an inspiron

  • Summary: This Dell computer has a big problem. Dell knows about it and has done nothing to own up to it. The plug in that is connected to the main board easily cracks making it impossible to charge your computer. It is poor engineering from the get go and quite costly to repair($145 to install a $5 part).
