This laptop should have been recalled.

Summary: I've had this computer for a few years now and all it has given me is trouble. Vista isn't great, but that's not what makes this computer so bad. After having it a few months, the hard drive crashed and I lost everything. They replaced the hard drive, but it wasn't a good one.

Summary: I've had two Dell laptops. On both of them the mousepad stopped working within months. (Why I bought the second laptop I dont know.) On the 1525, everything seems to have fallen apart. Even worse, it didn't come with driver disks or any of the oem software on disks.
Summary: You would be an idiot if you bought anything Dell. Any company that won't warranty obvious design screw-ups should not be in business. I bought a Dell Inspiron 1525 from Best Buy, mistakes on both counts. I was suckered into buying Best Buys warranty program.
Summary: This computer is far more hassle than it is worth. It is a hot, loud, problematic mess. And I am not alone in this. -The computer gets very hot after only a half hour, to the point it actually is painful to have on your lap.
