Summary: This is a fully functional laptop at under $300.00. The price is realized since there is no optical drive, touch screen, Bluetooth or wired Ethernet, but at this price that's OK. You can use an external drive and WiFi for your connection needs. Even with the plastic feel it's been quite durable and easy to care for with storage in a case when not in use. I also like to use a trackball instead of mouse or touch-pad, but the touch-pad is OK if you decide not go that route.
Not too bad for the price shipping was over priced!!!!!!

Summary: This is a good little Laptop. Came with a stolen Windows XP copy. The machine there fore locked up and I had to get a new windows Program. Machine will run with 2 gb of memory and see's the memory even though it is only listed as a 1 GB machine. I have windows Vista sp2 and it works fine. Nice for just carrying around, very light and nice NOT as good as a IBM R60 or R61 machine with a bigger screen.
Summary: This is my third dell laptop. The first is 12 years old and other than the mouse buttons on the touchpad not working anymore and the battery being dead, that still works as well as the day I bought it. The second is 4 years old and is 100%. Those laptops didn't live a nice happy life either, both have more sea time than half of the personnel in the Navy. All that pounding from rough seas isn't easy on a computer.
Summary: My old Dell 1545 was a good one but the power charge port wore out so I was shown this one by a Wal_mart associate. It is a good value but the arm rest is a matte finish that irritates my forearms and it has a sharp edge all around that also is irritating. I had not used Windows 8 before so I'm still getting use to that but it seems fine so far. I'm a 61 yr old housewife who uses a PC daily for regular use. I do email, FB and research a lot on my many medical issues.
