feels cheap, no the smoothest performance

  • Summary: The computer feels really cheap. The plastic chassis reminds of toy laptops from childhood. I appreciate the addition of two finger scrolling coming from a different non PC laptop that the review guidelines request not be mentioned I do two finger scroll out of habit so I am glad that it worked when I scrolled. The only thing is the track pad is not very fluid or responsive. In order to use it to scroll up and down the screen I have to lift my hands a make short strokes.

Poor electrical system

JN644, Costco

  • Summary: I bought this computer exactly 2 years ago (to the day) along with the 3 year Square Trade Warranty. It was a mistake! Within about 4 months of use the electrical system went out and I used my warranty. Square trade sent it back (taking weeks to do so) and we repeated the process 2 more times. The computer works for a few months then the electrical system goes out.
  • Pros: dell was supposed to be a good name
  • Cons: weak electrical system warranties won't fix the problem

Just OK

  • Summary: The laptop is affordable I am just very disappointed that there is no dvd drive and it did not say there would not be one. That should be a standard feature. There is also no microphone jack. I am not sure how the microphone feature works, perhaps an external one. It will do the job but I would not recommend if you can afford something better.

Defeats the purpose

Amazon Customer, Amazon

  • Summary: The touch screen didn't feel like working a lot of the times until I closed and opened it, or it would refuse to display something on screen. for the same price, buy a not Dell. Also, it has the worst design decision of having speakers on the bottom of the laptop.

It's Alright, not exactly what I thought it would be.

King99, Dell

  • Summary: The laptop lags sometimes when I want to browse the internet. It has its days when it wants to work with no problem, and it has its days when it wants to be lazy and drag. And every time I am playing a video or listening to music the speakers makes a static like noise, it's not annoying but, I know it's not suppose to make that noise.

Low Marks

Matthew26, Dell

  • Summary: This is the 3rd Dell laptop that I have owned and I have had several over the years at work serving me well in both areas. All in all, this seems like a solid computer. However, I absolutely cannot stand the new touch pad that this model comes with. I believe the issue is that it is all one piece and not separately broken into a touchpad, a left, and right button like my last Dell laptop.
