Summary: I bought from Dell, twice before and my recent purchase was a Dell inspiron 14z ultrabook and my experience has been a huge disappointment. One of the usb 3.0 ports didn't work. The tracking pad stuttered and eventually the keyboard went. Dell sent a technician to replace everything and still the keyboard didn't work. On the positive, the boot-time is very quick, the trackpad comfortable and the chicklet keyboard fine to type on.
Summary: Bought this a year ago. After 11 months the laptop was on but with black lcd. called dell and they sent a person to repair this laptop. the after sell service was great though. they replaced my motherboard and lcd without charging fee. i was happy. but a few weeks later the laptop keep shutting itself off when i was working with it. i don't know what's the problem and too bad the warranty already expired.
Summary: I bought this laptop cause comparing with the xps, it is cheaper and still the ultra book. When I got the laptop, I found out that the speaker was the biggest problem. Terrible speakers and when I maximize the volume, it just sounds like 50% of the mac. Anyway, this is still the cheap ultra book. You can't pay to same price for an ultra book from other brands.
Summary: I bought this because I dropped and ruined my Dell xps 14z. I thought this would be a decent replacement. It's an okay laptop, but not the best. I've had problems with the bluetooth, the trackpad is not very sensitive and the right/left mouse click buttons are sticky.
Summary: Over the years I have used Dell computers on a regular basis through my place of employment. It was this experience, generally pretty good experience, that led me to look at purchasing the Ultrabook. Unfortunately, I have been seriously disappointed with the unit. Having purchased it for a family member who is attending University at the start of this school year (September) I looked for compact size, performance and an an additional video card to help with 3D images...
Summary: I got this Laptop around a week back. I read Couple of bad reviews about the laptop but thought that Dell would have learnt from its mistake and improved upon it but Dell failed me completely. It been only a week but its taking me around 10-12 mins to reach the Windows Login. After turning on the laptop, i see the windows welcome screen and then it goes black for 5 mins and then comes the Windows login page.
