Summary: I bought from Dell, twice before and my recent purchase was a Dell inspiron 14z ultrabook and my experience has been a huge disappointment. One of the usb 3.0 ports didn't work. The tracking pad stuttered and eventually the keyboard went. Dell sent a technician to replace everything and still the keyboard didn't work. On the positive, the boot-time is very quick, the trackpad comfortable and the chicklet keyboard fine to type on.
Summary: I've had this laptop for nearly a year, and my overall take is that it is a great deal for the money. As long as you don't expect too much, this laptop will serve you well. It is fairly light; it looks generally pretty good, and it runs decently quick. When you factor all that in with the reasonably low price, it is well worth the amount.
Summary: Everything is great, except Window 8. This laptop is well-designed and looks modern. It will suit you if you are looking for a lightweight, slim laptop with decent battery life. Note that you must have an email address prior you turn this laptop on, otherwise it won't let you continue (one of the many annoying features from Win8).
Summary: I purchased this laptop for my teenage son to use and his main use is gaming. He also does his homework on this machine. The laptop has good speed for downloads and his games keep running smoothly. We had a older machine with a slower processor and finally got tired of his complaints about freezing etc. the new laptop performs great and we hear no more complaints.
