Summary: I've had this computer for a while now, no complaints. It was a replacement for another Inspiron. It's very slim and lightweight, has a great finish and a good design. The only disadvantage I see is that it only has 2 USB ports, which nowadays it's not very practical. (My older model had 4) I don't agree with what other people say about the keyboard, yeah it's a bit different from other models, a bit on the flatter side, but I see no problem with that.
Summary: This laptop is HORRIBLE. Had nothing but trouble with it from day one. Thank God I had the extended warranty. Even so, it has caused me much inconvenience and stress. The Customer Service Techs are just as horrible too. It pains me to describe the details of my issues here, but its been a nightmare, sorry.
Summary: I bought this computer for my daughter to bring to University. It had problems connecting to the WIFI from the start. You had to be less then 2 meters from the router in order for it to find the network. I reported this toe Dell right away. They tried to fix it remotely. Then they sent a tech with a new wireless card. Still didn't work. Then they sent a new laptop. Still didn't work. Then they tried to fix the new laptop remotely.
Summary: I bought a 14z with similar specs in April 2013. It was on a really good sale, but all they had available was refurbished machines. I had bought other refurb items before and assumed it was a safe buy. That was my first mistake. As soon as it was delivered, I started having issues. Something was wrong with the monitor and the backlight would not stay on, so I would always have a dim screen. I checked all my settings to make sure I was doing everything correctly.
Summary: I purchased Dell inspiron 14z ultrabook. It started giving me troubles from the next day. First the blue screen error and then the hard drive issue. Now that my product is no longer is in warranty it started giving me error of 'LCD failure". I called customer care that said 'you should have extended warranty'. Is that the motive of Dell, sell crappy items and expect the customers to pay extra for warranty. I am so disappointed with Dell. Never again...
Summary: The computer was bought from Amazon market place (Laptop Deals and More) six months ago. Stopped working couple of weeks ago. Contacted Dell. Dell says that I don't own the computer. Contacted the seller through email (no phone number is available to talk to real person). Although the seller says that they will transfer ownership, after repeated emails, it does not happen.
Summary: I first ordered this laptop because the ad description said it was a core I5 with Windows 7. Simple huh? When it arrived it turned out it was a Core I3 with windows 8, I sent it back and reordered from another vendor this one came with Core I7 and windows 8 it also has touch screen and a backlit keyboard and the case is brushed aluminum with a bright finish. So this time I got much more than I bargained for, in a good way.
Great when it worked for the first six months - then it died! Dell would not honor the waranty!

Summary: This was my third Dell unit and was to replace my aging Dell Inspiron 630m. I had faith in Dell (past tense) Some of the reviews commented on problems. When the unit stopped charging I tried the other charge adapters and same result. I contacted Dell tech support and they were very helpful and said they would ship a new motherboard to a US address. I was in the Caribbean at the time. Then Dell "Customer Care" intervened and stopped the shipment - twice.
