Alienware M11x R3 Review

thinkdigit.com
2 August 2011
  • Summary: The M11x is a very nice, well-rounded product. If you're looking for something powerful and small, and don't mind the cramped keypad that takes some getting used to, the M11x is definitely worth it. Upmarket and classy, this will suit even an executive who wants to make a somewhat unusual statement. For gamers, the waters aren't as clear, as the M11x falters with a GPU that is strictly decent. Dell India quoted us a price of Rs. 64,900 for the M11x.

Review Alienware M11x R3 Gaming Notebook

Notebookcheck
19 April 2011
  • Summary: It´s about time. It was only a question of time before Alienware created a Sandy-Bridge refresh of its 11.6 inch mini powerhouse for release. At this opportunity the graphics card has also been updated, replacing the GT 335M with the GT 540M. What the cooling system of the M11x R3 has to say about it can be discovered in this review.
  • Pros: Sehr schnell für seine Größe, Hochwertige Materialien, Exzellente Akkulaufzeit, Schicke Beleuchtung, Gute Eingabegeräte, Schnittiges Design, Grafikumschaltung, Flotte Festplatte, The neat and well put together case with its high quality materials, and the comprehensive illumination options.
  • Cons: Spiegelndes Display mit mäßigem Schwarzwert, Hohe Geräuschentwicklung unter Last, Ungünstige Anschluss- anordnung, CPU-Throttling unter Volllast, A matte display surface, and a much quieter system noise under load.

Review Alienware M11x Subnotebook

Notebookcheck
1 October 2010
  • Conclusion: Alienware celebrates its worthy debut into a portable subnotebook size with the strong and unique M11x . As usual for Alienware, there's not much room for complaint in view of the excellent design , the almost perfect workmanship and extensive configuration . Additionally, the good input devices , the fast hard disk and the chic lighting elements are able to impress.
  • Pros: Chic design, Excellent workmanship, Extensive lighting, Quite a lot of connections, Fairly good application and gaming performance, Long battery life, Good input devices, Fast hard disk, The great case with its perfect stability and workmanship, as well as its chic design. Furthermore, the extensive lighting and the relatively lavish connectivity. Not least, the fairly good application and gaming performance, just like the impressive input devices.
  • Cons: Reflective, poor luminosity and sensitive display, A weak CPU in comparison to the graphic card, Wrist-rest gets warm, Noisy under load, Screwed battery, A processor with a somewhat higher clock rate (e.g. the Core 2 Duo P7350). Also a display with a better luminosity, a fan that is more silent (under load) and especially a removable battery! The very reflective display with its poor luminosity is more than aggravating, and is in no way suitable for outdoor use.

Review Alienware M11x R2 Subnotebook

Notebookcheck
26 July 2010
  • Summary: Mini Gamer 2.0. Alienware, up until now better known for its big luxury-gamers, has surprised the notebook branch with a high-performance subnotebook, the M11x, a few months ago. Now the manufacturer introduces the subtly renewed M11x R2 that mainly distinguishes itself by a processor upgrade.
  • Pros: Excellent workmanship, High-end materials, Elegant design, Numerous light elements, Relatively good performance, Respectable battery life, Fast hard disk, Nvidia Optimus, Alienware-typical, the chic lighted, outstandingly manufactured and made with high-quality material case is a whopper.
  • Cons: Fairly heavy for a 11.6 incher, Warm case surfaces, A poor CPU in comparison to graphic card, Display poor in brightness and contrast, Display reflects very intensely, Suboptimal interface alignment, We would be extremely delighted about a brilliant and contrast richer display.
