Summary: This is a great gaming laptop, and the configuration offered by the seller was well chosen, skimming only on the RAM (8GB instead of 16GB) which is easily upgraded if required. 2 problems I would like to confirm ( I already knew them ) 1: weight, this is a heavy machine, not to move around with it for email and web browsing, buy a tablet and save your back. 2: fan noise, and this is why you need a good headset/headphone if you are an extreme gamer.
I love it!, but one minor issue not related to the computer.

Summary: I LOVE this computer, I got a 14 and ordered it directly from Dell. I would have got a 17 but for what I was paying the 14 had better options, I could get everything I wanted for a smaller screen (which is fine with me). I also got the Alienware Vindicator backpack, which is nice but a little heavy. As for the issue.
Summary: Or should I say WoW? This laptop is AMAZING. There are plenty of gaming laptops out there but I don't think you can beat this. It's portable and it runs games with the settings maxed out (Unlimited fps and graphics set to the highest possible setting) with almost no lag. Not to mention it browses the web quite fast and the web camera works surprisingly well. I make gaming videos with commentary and this laptop works great for that.
Summary: Alienware, is simply, the best gaming pc in the world right now. Yet, it does have some cons, and pros, I'll try to mention all of them below. I think that the Alienware team over at Dell had done a really good job, but here's a suggetion. Make the ability to add an extra battery in an Alienware laptop available.
Summary: More power than I know what to do with. I have no issue running my favourite games at high and ultra settings. It's, understandably, bulky and heavy and the cooling fan can get quite noisy under load. Its not the best value, but the build quality alone justifies it.
Summary: It took some convincing, but I managed to talk my boss into getting me an Alienware 14 for my work as a network engineer. I needed something that was durable, and this is one rugged piece of hardware. Yes, it's heavy. But it's worth the weight for something that doesn't fall apart so easily.
