disappointing for my purposes
28 January 2014
Summary: Was expecting something that came with a document maker like all they rest of my four laptops, but I guess computer's generally don't make them like that anymore. It is a bit annoying how super sensitive this computer is. It will minimize and maximize out of nowhere, and will click on stuff even when don't want it too. besides its slim design, still trying to figure out what is soo special about this computer and why I spent over $500 for it.
Terrible software, terrible support, and very slow. Hardware is probably good

Summary: We bought this because we were stoked about the hardware specs. We searched a LOT, and this seemed to be the best mix for the value. I saw some negative reviews, but with all the positives, and being a techy, I figured I'd get it configured to work well even if I needed to tweak a few things. Well, maybe the hardware is capable of performing well, but after 3 weeks, this has been a disastrous experience.
Summary: Nice light laptop but has too many issues. The first one shipped to me had a defective camera. The second one is having charging issues. The battery charges to about 93% and then starts blinking. Seems others have had the same problem and the only solution is to send it in to ASUS for service. For now I'm using it as it is, but am disappointed in the build quality. It's too bad, because the features of the laptop are great.
Summary: I was pretty excited to get this ultrabook. It really is well built and I love the backlit keyboard, size, and weight. Unfortunately the screen was DOA. Never worked. The keyboard lit up, power button indicated hard disk was running. Returned it. May just be a one-off, but kind of off-putting for my first ASUS purchase. Got an HP ultrabook instead. Much heavier, but still nice.
Summary: I live in Sweden, and bought the Asus UX32VD about 9 months ago from a retailer here, and since then have had nothing but hassles. First, I bought this machine since I was looking for a: (relatively) light, well built, reasonably powerful (i7), high resolution screen machine with preferably a backlit keyboard, for work (I do mostly academic work, writing papers and not-so-heavy coding) and pleasure (watching movies).
Summary: I had an Asus netbook that lasted me for four years so I wanted to get another Asus. However, this Zenbook unfortunately did not work as well. It would randomly shut down and freeze. I was very disappointed. So I shipped it back. I still think Asus is alright as a computer company though.
Summary: К сожалению продавец отказался отправлять в Россию этот продукт и на этой сделке я потерял 1400 руб. Поэтому о этом продукте я ничего сказать не могу Unfortunately the seller refused to send this product in Russia and the deal I lost 1400 rub.
Summary: Had to send this PC back twice, both for keyboard issues (not responding) after only 30 days old. Sent to mfg and returned with no office starter that came with PC originally. Called for assistance and was addressed as "Mr. Dan" which is my first name so you know where this is leading. No help, did not care, referred me to microsoft. Love the battery life and form factor, keyboard issues a little scary given the age and the customer service I received sucked.
Honeytrap: Specs good on paper, real life not so good

Summary: I am a spec-oriented person. I was drawn to this model on what I consider to be a rational evaluation of the specs. The screen specs and 3rd generation i7 at my 11 bones cost had me pull the trigger six weeks ago. First of all here and on BB there are suggestions for user upgrades. I seriously suggest you wait until using the machine for six months.
Asus consistenly drops the ball with poor webcams.

Summary: I saw this Asus Zenbook with the perfect specs for my needs, it was my dream laptop, 3rd gen core I5, anti-glare screen (i still don't understand why manufactures keep making full glare screens on professional and portable netbooks that likely will be used out there with all the glare)hybrid hard drive, USB 3. super light weight and the sexiest looks. I went to office depot with the cash in my hand ready to buy it until I tested the webcam on the store..
