Summary: I recently purchased this laptop to replace the Dell laptop I was using. This laptop has given me nothing but problems. Although it looks nice, the keys are super sensitive. As I type, emails get deleted, sent too soon and words get replaced. I've been using PC laptops for 10+ years and have never owned a laptop this poor. Also, the charge goes out quickly so it's not great for travel.
Summary: 1. I purchased the UX32VD-DH71 with an advertised battery life of up to 7 hours. You will be lucky if you get 3.5 with some web browsing a maybe writing a Word Document. If you want a true "mobile" laptop - look elsewhere. The excuse from the tech. support was that Windows 8 is "more power hungry." The machine was running Windows 7 Pro will all of the latest Win 7 drivers from Asus. 2.

Summary: The computer looks great, is easy to carry around and worked quite well for the first 10 months (though sometimes I had some trouble with getting the screen to light up after sleep mode). About a month and a half ago I got the "blue screen of death" and sent the computer to the lab (still under the warranty). After a few days I was told that there is a problem with the motherboard and it needs to be replaced. Nothing happened since (a month ago).
Summary: Terrible quality control! We have had this laptop three months and it has bricked itself three times. Twice it would not turn on because the keyboard ribbon cable came out of its socket on the motherboard. The power button is on the same component as the keyboard so if the keyboard won't work, you can't even power on the laptop. Bad design and the ribbon cable socket for the keyboard is a bit of a joke.
Summary: I bought this computer for my husband and we are surprised how slow it is just when we browse the internet and use the word processor (we tried firefox, chrome and explorer and all are slow). We wanted to give it back to buy another computer but the seller wouldn't take it back, even though we hardly used it. In any case if you decide to buy it, use amazon and not other sellers... We bought it from BuyBuy online and I will never buy anything grom them again!
Summary: This was my third replacement of Asus Zenbook UX32-A-DB51. The first two had issues with the track pad, called Asus customer service they were sort of able to fix the issue but a few days later same issue. The third one worked flawlessly for the first two days and then the charger died. Called Asus customer service and was told to fill out a RMA and then they will send out a replacement.
The hard drive failed just after the return period had ended

Summary: This ultrabook was intended for use in a class this summer. i used it spaingly after my purchase but not intensively until two months later when the problem occurred. Now i am left with having to replace the hard drive on my own. The worst part of the whole thing is that I am out of town and need the computer for work. I bought this through Amazon which makes the repair process more difficult.
