Summary: My laptop came with two 3-5 inch scratches on the screen. They are not thick so I do not notice them when the computer is running, but it is lame buying a new computer and it having some damage. It seems like products from new egg are never 100% new.
Pros: It is really hard to find a laptop that is 13.3 inches or smaller with an Nvidia grapphics card and an i7 processor. All of the intel integrated gpus being sold in all laptops can barely run games from the 1990's. The keyboard is nice and quiet plus it has a back light. No real complaints about this computer.
Cons: The screen is 13.3 inches but the frame surrounding the screen has a big border, so the computer does not seem as small as it may appear.
Summary: I used Windows 8 on this long enough to fully update it. That was my first and only experience with it, so I can't really say anything about it.
Pros: I was looking at this ultrabook, and a samsung series 9 hd. I chose this one for a few reasons, the first was the upgrade ability this one has. Another reason was the warranty. My last Asus had an "accident" about day 300 of owning it, and they replaced it under the 1 year accidental. When I received it, the look was the first thing that surprised me, I was expecting a very nice looking ultrabook, but this blew me away. It's fast. Even with an ssd upgrade, it is still...
Cons: The bottom panel feels very cheap. I first noticed when I had it in my lap and went to lift it. It feels like a thin piece of cheap metal. When I took it off, I realized that's exactly what it is.
Summary: bought this for something powerful and light to program on the go, so far getting it to work right has been a giant hassle.
Pros: Excellent build quality, keyboard feels great, screen is gorgeous, light and durable construction, decent battery life.
Cons: FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD GET RID OF WINDOWS 8!!!! also the wifi card is the worst thing that has ever existed behind windows 8, recommend replacing with a better one. (at the time of this review have an intel ac/b/g/n card on order, will report back), slight rattle from left hand speaker. standard ssd is tiny, caused problems when installing windows 7.
