Summary: Great laptop, speed, lightweight, performance is great....ASUS screen warranty not so much! Bought this laptop in July 2014 and my screen went out last week. Computer had never been dropped, spilled upon, etc. ASUS wanted $850 to replace the LCD screen; you can practically buy a new one for that price! My advice, but an extended warranty!
All sparkle and no substance. You can do much better for the money.

Summary: The form factor is the only thing this laptop has going for it. I bought this for my wife. I personally use a macbook air and a variety of other machines for work. We didn't want to spend the money for a Mac since she only uses it for light leisure tasks. I really wish we went with a Chromebook. The problems begin in that the touch screen is largely a gimmick and not especially useful. This would be fine except the touchpad is terrible...

Summary: This Asus UX302LA ultrabook is by far the most compact and well-built windows laptop I've ever owned. Seven or eight years ago I thought a nice laptop was one like a 17" VAIO which even had a Blu-Ray burner and an expansive full HD 1080p screen. My way of thinking was wrong because a 17" screen is now considered an antique as is an optical drive.
Summary: Would have given it 3 or 4 stars until I discovered that I cannot re-image it from a backup image. Need a re-image? Right now, all I see is recovery from the built-in backup - plus about six man hours to rebuild the system to what it was before recovery. More of an indictment of the new boot-level security than anything else - and if I ever discover a way to re-image, I will kick up my rating to what it should be - minus one star for the Asus manual not telling me how to...
Summary: This gorgeous laptop is really great purchase! It has very attractive look, powerful hardware, light weight and low noise level. I bought it for my wife to replace her ASUS UX31A with 128Gb SSD because she needed more storage space and 3 USB ports. UX302LA was a great replacement! It's only a bit heavier and slower (because of HDD), but not critical at all. Nice pouch, Gigabit NIC and analog display adapter make additional value.
Summary: I bought this laptop off of ebay, a refurbished model. It's what I'm typing this review on, in fact. And I have to say, it is one of the best laptops I've had in a while. The main reason I bought this ultrabook instead of others was the upgradeability. This new soldered RAM thing boggles my mind, but what can you do? Thank goodness this one has a RAM slot! The first thing I did on purchase was to upgrade this model with an 8gb RAM module and a 250GB SSD.
Summary: I like this Zenbook a lot ..everything about it is as expected.. The brightness of the screen changes all the time and I have yet to figure out why or how to correct it,,when it is bright it is great but then it will just get dimmer..I thought it was a battery issue but when I still have 70% left it should not do that.
Summary: Everything I was looking for is there... Size, performance, looks, touch screen...Good for travel... UX301 is a bit lighter... Other than that...Very good ))) Be Blessed...Help others...Enjoy Life..
