Summary: The ASUS Zenbook UX302LA has definitely got the looks. Using it is like riding a beautiful car with people couldn’t help but take quick glances at it. Performance is also satisfactory, although we would recommend it for casual use and nothing too heavy (sorry gamers and video editors).
Asus Zenbook UX302LA Review: An Ultrabook Like No Other
23 April 2014
Excerpt: We review Asus’ breathtaking UX302LA! Asus has a penchant for making jaw-droppingly beautiful notebooks and ultrabooks, especially for their hi-end range. The Zenbook Prime is one such beast, which thoroughly impressed us back when it was unveiled a few years ago.
Summary: Smaller brother? Asus offers two similar-looking 13.3-inch Zenbooks which differ completely at their cores. As these models are Ultrabooks, they are light, thin and equipped with a touchscreen. The UX301LA performed very well in our test.
Pros: Interesting choice of material, Good workmanship, Various accessories, Backlit keyboard, AC-WLAN, Bright IPS panel, Cache SSD
Cons: No security features, Maintenance not possible, Poor touchpad, Reflective display, Throttling of the CPU at load, The option of mobile internet access would have rounded off the package.
Excerpt: The incredibly stylish Asus Zenbook UX302 is one of the best looking ultra-portable laptops around. It's light, slim and stunning, with a powerful processor, a touchscreen display and a decent amount of storage to boot.
Summary: Things have moved on a great deal in the two years since the release of Asus' last Zenbook, the UX31, which we loved . Windows 8 has been released, and with it touch screens have become an essential part of any laptop.
