Terrible product, terrible service from ASUS

  • Summary: This product is not even 60 days old and needs another hardware repair. Asus has terrible support. They are sending a label so that my "new" laptop can be out for service for another week. Unless you want to deal with frustrating on-line support and returning your product for service and having it unavailable buy another laptop, from another manufacturer.

  • Summary: This is the SLOWEST computer I have had since I owned a 286 unit. I downloaded a program on my HP laptop in 15 minutes. The exact same program on my ASUS, with the same windows system, took 75 minutes to load. Stay away from this snail system.

Won't boot up up...

  • Summary: Bought this laptop and was fairly happy with it until just over a month after I bought it it wouldn't boot up. I tried all the hard resets and bios boot ups and nothing worked. At least customer service didn't waste my time, they issued an RMA quickly and now I am waiting to hear back from the repair center. All laptops can have problems but it seems so cruel to start having problems just after the 30 day return policy expires.

Mediocre screen

  • Summary: This computer has great specs, which is why I was so surprised that the screen was an average, run-of-the-mill matte screen. I have matte screens at work, so the real issue was the quality of graphics. It was not sharp at all. I had bought this powerful laptop because it could handle video editing. Who wants to edit a movie on such a mediocre screen?

  • Summary: FYI, I am reposting my review of ASUS laptops here because I want to spread the word. This has nothing to do with Windows 8. Both asus computers I have are Windows 7. Having said that, here is my reposted review. i have two ASUS laptops. They are the worse piece of crap I've ever owned. ASUS makes good motherboards as i have one in my desktop computer and it works great. But both ASUS laptops have had many problems. I sent one into ASUS and it took weeks to get it back.

  • Summary: I was gifted with this laptop. The keyboard is great, the look and feel terrific; however, the screen jumps around in an unstable way whenever you try to scroll around, and the windows 8 software forces apps on you from the windows store and there is NO WAY to get the apps store off the computer.

Liked nothing about this computer

  • Summary: I was very hesitant to even buy this computer, considering what the negative reviews said, but I went against my better judgement. Out of the box it felt very cheap. I booted up and it was incredibly slow. It took longer to load web pages than my old computer which is why I was replacing it in the first place. I immediately regretted the decision, and the final straw was when the volume buttons didn't work on the keyboard. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Hate windows 8

  • Summary: I have Mac's but purchased this laptop for my grandson. I was so frustrated with this PC….the mouse pad did not want to track right and I kept haveing to refresh because it would freeze up and that took 25 to 40 minutes to complete!!!! I got this at a good price but so was not worth it, sent it back. I don't recommend this laptop.
