Summary: Most reviews of a product will happen within the first week or two the product has been received, but this review is about the long term durability of this laptop so I'm writing it a year after my purchase.
Summary: We bought an Asus laptop 2 or 3 years ago and loved it, so we decided to order a new one for our son as his laptop is starting to have issues. We received this laptop a couple of weeks ago, and 4 or 5 days it stopped working. The hard drive was fried!
Summary: When I purchased my Asus X550CA, I was experimenting. Could I get a decent laptop without paying a premium price? My needs were simple: I needed a laptop on which I could write. The easy answer is yes. Of course it would support all the related software. What about the rest? The long answer is no.
Summary: I was really excited to get this in the mail. I have had an asus before. but this one is weak.. I believe its the faulty new windows though. it keeps freezing when I go to view pictures off my sd card. windows 8 is crummy.
Summary: Performance is very slow.My older laptop with a much lesser configuration worked better than this laptop Had internet issues.Once the internet was turned off and wouldn't turn on unless I restarted the laptop. Not happy with the mouse. The mouse little jumpy.
Summary: The computer is ok, but the touch pad is a huge problem for me. It is too sensitive or doesn't work right. I also had a windows update problem where it would take forever to restart because of updating. The pc works fine when you plug a mouse in it.
