Summary: This came installed with Windows 8 and after a few days it kept telling my version could not be activated and I have to call customer service to get it to work. The message kept coming up and prompting me to activate and then when I tried, it would tell me my code was incorrect. What a huge inconvenience! Also the space bar NEVER works. You practically have to bash on it to get it to work. (Which is annoying because I got this laptop in order to do my writing on it.
Summary: I bought this laptop for one thing, to plug in my company provided USB and use the laptop for work. Since you cannot access the bios to install the USB, I spent $125 on a tech who spent hours on the phone with ASUS who also did not understand how to access the bios. Somehow, between the 2 of them and my money they got the computer to boot to the USB.
Summary: The laptop itself is great. Nice and thin, a little heavier than you would think for how thin it is. But lets be serious its not a Mac air. I still like it though. The resolution is nice, the keyboard are smooth. But the touch pad is not that firm. I have a feel within a couple of months or so with heavy useage there might cause a problem. The shipping was fast and it arrived almost new.
Summary: I wanted to buy a Windows laptop just for simple things, like checking my e-mail, playing games, or transferring photos. I thought going with an inexpensive one would be fine, because I don't need anything too technical. Well, this laptop wasn't even good for that! The mouse pad was way too sensitive and seemed to malfunction quite a bit and jump around. I thought using my wireless mouse would take care of the problem, but that didn't work either.
Summary: I got this computer as an upgrade to my old ASUS, which I loved, but alas, is now 4 years old. The Asus X401U was lighter and smaller, however, it was slower than my 4 year old computer from the second I started it up - and it froze all the time. I'm NOT a big technology person, and I don't need anything fancy, but this computer was lower quality than a big clonky 4 year old computer. Save your money....
Summary: I bought this laptop for my girlfriend because she needed one for school. I read the reviews and wasn't really expecting too much for the price, but I was expecting it to at least work. Right out of the box, I put in the battery and I turn it on, but the screen stays black. I figure alright, whatever the battery must be very low, so I turn it off and plug it into the charger for about an hour or two. Try again and it still doesn't work.
laptop had a trogan hourse on it4 days before iordered it
20 December 2013
Summary: it cost me 179 to have it removed first time it shows up in my history on dec 5th I ordered it on the 9th and got internet axis on the 12th if I did not need it I would have sent it back because I already complained the battery only locks on one side i am mad at myself because I could have gotten a cheaper model but thought if I paid more it would be better quality I was wrong

5 November 2013
Summary: This laptop has given me lots of problems! I've had it barely 3 weeks and it totally went black on me tonight for about a half an hour! The mouse freezes, it flashes from one thing to another while I'm typing an email or looking up something online! This laptop is a lemon! I'm sending it back tomorrow to exchange it for another one that might work right! If it doesn't I'm getting a different laptop! I'm not impressed!!!! Buyer beware!
