Summary: This replaces my beloved Dell D410, which survived many drops and crashes over 8 years, but whose screen was recently cracked by an airport baggage handler. The Asus is cheaper, faster, lighter, longer battery life. It would be perfect if the keys had the same feel as my Dell, and the touchpad were smaller and not integrated with the mouse keys. But for the price it is excellent, and it runs Ubuntu like a charm.
Summary: Purchased in late June, this computer is working out great, now that I've figured out the at-first cataclysmic 'd-mn thing not starting up' phenomenon. BIG START UP PROBLEM: In brief, a couple months ago I 'left the computer on', as ASUS encourages you to do, just shutting the cover and putting it into automatic sleep. Then, next day, I go to work on it again and it refuses to start up. Serious problem!
Summary: I've had the ASUS 11.6 " for about a month now and everything is working well. I bought this primarily for the size/weight and was interested in a lower price computer with enough hard drive size and speed. I'm really happy with all these functions and Windows 8 hasn't even annoyed me too much yet, but I primarily use all functions from the desktop not Start Screen. Pros: Screen is nice and clear, and font size adjustment makes it easy to read.
It's a excellent computer, one of the best I have had. I recomend it for everyone who searching laptops for home, work (not graphic designer work).
Summary: Very happy with this product, for the money is the best you can buy. Ubuntu is very user friendly. Some things you may have to research a little bit, but that's fine is part of the fun about Ubuntu. It runs videos well, may be a little slow at times but that's just fine. I definitely recommend this product and if you need to know about Ubuntu just buy the book Ubuntu made easy.
Summary: The build and construction of the laptop is great. It feels solid, looks great, and it's super small and light. The keyboard and screen are very nice, though I do wish there was an option to get a non-glare type screen. I'm not used to these multi-touch touchpads so I'm still getting used to it, but so far it's slightly annoying having to click the whole pad instead of a separate tactile button and I haven't quite mastered it.

Summary: The Good: + Low Cost + Easy Setup + Fast Boot + Lightweight + Ample Hard Drive + Decent Keyboard The Bad: - Wonky Trackpad - Popular Streaming Services Require Workarounds - Spotty Printer Support - No Exchange Sync (At Least For My Company) - Erratic Bluetooth Performance - Poor Android 4.1 Support Overall: While it is not perfect, the ASUS X201E-DH01 is an excellent Windows and Chromebook alternative.
