Summary: It's a little clunky and slow at times, though I put that down to Windows 8 rather than any particular fault with the computer. It's okay for light browsing, but I wouldn't recommend anything other than using it for facebook occasionally, and checking emails.
Summary: Bought this a week ago to replace a tablet that didn't even approach the computing power of this Laptop. Here's the thing though - right out of the box, this laptop performed WORSE than the tablet. I thought "well.. maybe it's just because I'm used to SSD performance in machines. I was going to put an SSD in it anyway. I'll put that in and that should resolve it." So I ordered a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD.

Summary: I just received my notebook one day early. this morning I open and plug in the notebook to charge the battery and enter the information need to get started. I noted that the battery reading said zero no charge. I will let it charge over night then check it again in the morning. I note that vender said they check the used parts before they sell it. My question is do they check to see it is charging too.
Summary: While it is a cheap laptop sold under $300, I am pleased with the build quality. The plastic shell is fingerprint-proof. And also it has a touch screen, which is a nice feature in a $300 laptop. The CPU isn't too bad, because all recent Intel CPUs can now handle web surfing, video playback, flash games with no trouble. Memory is the problem. It has only 2GB memory, and will not be upgradable because it is soldered into motherboard.
Summary: Would I buy again, probably not. I have been using it for 4 months. I broke the display,my fault, and It cost $ 147 to get it fixed. I considered buying something else but couldn't find anything for less than $ 200 so I got it fixed. Sometimes the touch screen wont work and I use the touch pad which seldom works so I use the clicker, one of these always works and I am more forgiving than most so lets call it an minor inconvenience.
Summary: It does get warm/hot on the side where the vent is so you can't really put it on your lap or hold it with left hand. As a layperson who does not know much about computers, only how to use it, it works good, in terms of browsing the net. Fast connection and page loads. Audio sound is decent. Resolution is good. I like the raised keyboard buttons/tabs. The 3 stars is mainly because of the track pad. It drives me bonkers. So sensitive.
6 months of use lesson:consider it as a 2013-4 netbook and you will be happy consider it as a notebook and you will not!

Summary: I bought this computer mainly for trips (although i have a tablet im a windows person) and i need to say that 3 stars is what it deserves it don't do anything particular well but is not a shameful performer either - the building quality is pretty good for the price and so far survived moderate use but rough trips, - it is thin cause dont have a cd drive - the touchscreen is responsive (what makes windows 8 experience much but better) and the screen is bright although not...
Summary: This is just a note to be VERY weary of FALSE reviews here. I don't believe the 3 reviews that were made here at exactly the same time are legit. Do your research at your local computer store before coming here and purchasing a product.
