Pretty good little laptop
11 May 2015
Summary: This laptop will run Ubuntu with some Windows 8 rigging, but it works great running Linux. I have no idea if Windows works well on it as I never use it. Great little laptop. Its pretty durable too, my 10 yo son uses it daily to play minecraft and watch you tube.
Summary: BUYER BEWARE: I am writing this after having purchased this unit in the Christmas 2013 season for a technophobe parent. This unit was rarely used by my parents and probably has deeply scarred them from attempting to be more tech friendly. The unit quickly stopped holding a charge.
Summary: After 15 months of very gentle use the case by one of the hinges on the screen side is badly cracked. The laptop will be increasingly fragile and difficult to open and close due to this defect, and it's just over a year old. We Googled it and found out we're not the only one with this issue.
Summary: Definitely good for the price. the non user-removable battery is a bit of a hassle in case it needs to be replaced. There have also been a few instances where the mouse pad would not respond and the pointer would just stay stuck in the middle of the screen.

Summary: bought this as an open box refurbish at a great price but only by persistence and considerable software experience was I able to use it. It was shipped with the Admin account set up by the previous user and there was no password to get in.
