Summary: This is undoubtedly the most problematic computer I have ever owned in almost 30 years of computer use. It crashes more than Windows 98 and that is going some! The problem is not Windows 8, which I use on another computer and like a lot. It is horribly slow, the wi-fi cuts out frequently, the touchpad will stop working without warning and it does some kind of crazy thing when it comes out of hibernation where it takes about 5 minutes to get up and running properly.
Summary: The laptop keyboard does not work and is not easy to ask for the guarantee because the return shipping and give yourself the Ecuador of the laptop is more expensive than getting a good keyboard. There should be quality control before sending laptops to avoid these problems. I feel fustrado and disappointed with this purchase, and is a empedimento for future purchases. Should I change warranty policies for other countries.
BUYER BEWARE-ASUS ADP warranty a crock-HELP I want my laptop back
Michele Magnaldi "Queueme", Amazon
14 September 2013
Summary: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased the ASUS X202E in March 2013. I made a couple of enhancements as suggested by other Amazon X202E owners. I swapped out the HD for an SSD chip and the WIFI for an upgrade. Disappointed with the way ASUS rigged the RAM, since no upgrade is possible, but like all other owners, I live with the 2 GB. All was well- I loved the little guy- hummed along and seldom gave me a peep of trouble.
Summary: I looked at the reviews and the laptop seemed pretty reliable. The first time I used it was very slow. I was not able to get a Wi-Fi connection. I also had trouble opening applications, it took too long or the computer kept freezing. not happy with purchase.
Summary: This is my fourth Asus because they make fine laptops, but this last one was a lemon and I had to send it back, at my expense after only a month of trying to get it to work right. It was a big headache to get Windows 8 to do anything since there was no help at all to begin using it and the touch screen didn't work well, sometimes not at all. The Asus manual is pitiful, typical of Asus and even worse than before.
Summary: Pros: Small and with Touchscreen Cons: No matter that I used kid gloves, my hard drive crashed, plus other issues....And Windows 8 stinks. This machine seems cheap, but BEWARE, it will cost you in the long run. When my Toshiba died after 4 years of faithful use, I decided to buy this computer because I wanted something newer, rather than fixing up the Toshiba. This machine seemed good, but it has been a nightmare. First, please try it out in the store.
Summary: I am continually frustrated with how hard it is to use. Wireless connections are often a nightmare and the touchscreen and keyboard are miserable. I should have bought another Sony. If you are a nerd and love nursing your laptop along good luck, otherwise do yourself a favor and aim a little higher.
Summary: I purchased my Asus 17 months ago. The battery no longer charges, the computer shuts off when it wants to and the casing of the computer is coming apart. I have called Asus 3 times about these issues and because i am out of warranty it will cost over $400 to fix this. I have owned many computers and have never had an experience such as this. Asus will do nothhing to remedy the situation and I now have to buy another computer. DO NOT PURCHASE AN ASUS!!!!
