Summary: I purchased this laptop for work as a diagnostic tool. Almost immediately after buying it I was able to upgrade to Windows 8.1 at no cost, which is a huge improvement over 8. 8.1 has taken some getting used to over XP, but the touchscreen functionality is superb and works well within 8.1. I am so spoiled by the touchscreen that I find myself putting fingerprints on all my devices! The computer has been acceptably fast and very stable and dependable.
Summary: I really love this laptop. I fit my needs - the feel of a laptop with the ease of use of a tablet. The touch screen is very responsive and I haven't had any trouble at all. The design is sleek. It's slightly heavier than other laptops this size but it's quite sturdy which is better for me. The speakers are also generally louder than other laptops I've tried.
Summary: Awesome laptop for a great price.. I ordered this along with a 120gb samsung SSD (7mm as it must be a low profile SSD) and an intel wifi/bluetooth card, knowing I'd want those two upgrades.. swapping out the stock hard drive and wifi card was a piece of cake - only took 10 minutes. To all those who say this laptop is too slow - upgrade to an SSD.. it makes a world of difference, and is completely silent (compared to a traditional HDD which you can hear).
Summary: This computer was purchased to be smaller than my 15.6" so I can work while on flights, but not be small enough to require an external monitor. I have used an android tablet in the past and couldn't get enough compatibility to get my work projects done. This computer does everything that I wanted. Windows 8 is an adjustment. I might try to find a windows 7 version if I had it to do again, but the touch screen with 8 is a nice addition and overall I am not unhappy.
