Summary: I rated down due to no memory replacement and battery cannot be removed by the normal user. You can crack the case but prefer not to. Other than that its the right size and works great. I even use it around the house.
Summary: It is virtually impossible to dual boot Win8 and Linux on this thing because of UEFI. That's a bummer for me cause I need a *nix platform for some of my school work, so I just had to reformat the hard drive and install a vanilla Ubuntu distro. Not ideal, but it "just works" with all the hardware, so I'm happy enough for now. Win8.1 looks interesting and I might take the time to work on making dual boot work.
Summary: This computer is really great, but there are some flaws to it. Sometimes the mouse pad thing doesn't really work, but I still like it. Also, it takes a long time to download something, and it's not just the wi-fi. Without the flaws, I think that this computer could be a worldwide bestseller.
Summary: I have been working on a book and needed a computer I could easily carry and yet use for this purpose. The keyboard is adequate for this purpose and the screen is bright and easy on the eyes. The battery life is in the 3-4 hour range when using for word processing and internet searches. I have only watched one DVD Video but the screen is awesome for this purpose and the battery held up well. The sound is OK, nothing to write about.
Summary: For what you pay you can not get anything better. This unit is lightweight with sufficient hardware for day to day office application processing needs. As well as online media content streaming, HD movie play back (used a usb blu-ray drive,)web browsing, and gaming via Onlive. I would not recommend this unit for hardcore processing (adobe after affects would run out of memory).
