Good general notebook

  • Summary: I'm really pleased with this product, well made and a handy size. Display very good and for a notebook the keyboard is pretty good. Easy to set up and Office pre-installed was a bonus. Haven't tested the battery life.

  • Summary: Very robust, has been dropped a few times and has survived. Very light, great portability, ideal for travel. Somewhat disappointed in speed of processor, previous experience shows that Intel processor is faster

Slow laptop, Slow OS

  • Summary: This is an attractive budget priced compact laptop. However the combination of Windows 8 (which is a whole new ball game) and sluggish hardware makes for an unproductive experience.

Get what you pay for

  • Summary: Good small notebook for the price, easy to setup & load software. Good keyboard but tiny touchpad which is sometimes unresposive. Touchscreen works well, great for flicking through web & apps but not suited to small screen. Processor is slow, okay for travel but not as primary machine. Updated operating system is slick but difficult to get used to. 12 inch laptop would be bigger/faster/better all round if you can afford it.

So far - Not impressed

Blandroid, Argos
13 May 2014
  • Summary: I find this latop/notebook to be very slow - I'm not sure whether its because it has WIndows 8 installed. Took McAfee off it straight away (even though subscription is free), as with Norton it tends to ruin performance. I'm only using it for veiwing dogging sites afterall. Battery life is good though, so I can knock out a few 'sherman tanks' on Skype whilst on the move. Wouldnt recommend buying this mind.Gonna try installing WIndows Vista or something.

Great value for money for students

  • Summary: i would recommend this laptop for students who are looking for a bargain- provides free full version of Microsoft office software, its thin, Really light and practical to carry in my handbag. touch screen is good,i would say the screen quality is low and Battery life is a bit short but manageable. no optical drive but can buy separate from argos cheap.
