For under $500, this a solid labtop that performs!

Summary: I bought this labtop as a gift for my wife who often times mishandles electronics. At the time of this review we've had the labtop for 6 months already. During that time we've dropped the thing a few times and it's been stepped on. No scratches or cracks. Everything works just fine. I paid $474 for it so for a labtop under $500, I am really impressed with the build quality.
Summary: These kinds of things fluctuate in price. I bought mine for 479.99 on amazon in early December. It came promptly and worked great. The processor was fast enough for daily uses. It it very slim and the metal finish screams quality. I highly recommend this asus laptop.
Asus provides Window 8 TouchScreen on a Budget--Exceeds my Expectations

Summary: An amazing value! I bought refurbished for $389. I added 8GB Crucial DDR3 RAM memory ($71) for total 12 GB RAM. With 500 GB hardrive and 20 GB SSD, this is an amazing value for me. I needed it for new consulting business and am very happy with this machine--I mostly need MS Office apps and browsers for internet access, so the i3 processor is not an issue for me. I have not yet encountered a problem where I wished for a faster processor yet.
Summary: Very happy with the purchase. After struggling with a 14" versus this 15.6" I have to say that I am finally comfortable with the overall size of this laptop. I did add some RAM just for some extra pep but at my usage levels (email, a few software programs and internet browsing) this was more a luxury than a necessity. Overall I am very happy with Asus products in general as my wife has an Asus laptop and All in One desktop that have both performed flawlessly.
Summary: I bought this and am using it in my the first week. so far everything is OK and i got what i expected. The touch screen is good, speed is perfect, it is standard computer for those who need a good computer with a good price
