Summary: the hardware is amazing...very good, however windows 8 still has issues... i have done all the upgrades and updates and finally i have less bugs but still sometimes it will not switch off or would become non responsive. the touch is very good, just like on my asus tablet. oerall, the laptop looks very good, elegant and slim and the battery will go over 4 hours. only thing that is missing is the backlit keyboard.
Not the most spectacular laptop, but it does the job just right

Summary: I've got it for about 2 weeks and even though it has some minor issues (mainly the bloatwares which can be *quite* easily uninstalled), overall it works great. Windows 8 is of course a pain, but Classic Shell got me through it. Touchscreen is intuitive and very helpful when I'm too lazy to reach for the mouse. Speaker sounds good enough for an average music listener like me; and webcam is high quality.
I give this laptop a 4 instead of a 5 because its almost perfect for my needs

Summary: This is sort of a hasty review...I give this laptop a 4 instead of a 5 because its almost perfect for my needs. So far so good, and i think it will stay this way for a while. If this is your first time getting a laptop with windows 8 or 8.1, then it will take a little while to become adjusted to the new setup. But again, im loving it so far, and really, for a college student, you wont need anything better than this.
Summary: Windows 8 takes some getting used to, but this is definitely a solid laptop. The performance is great and was just what I was looking for to replace my old desktop. The only issue I've had is a driver issue with the video card that sometimes prevents the HDMI output from having sound. It's not something I've had an issue with a lot, but I couldn't fix it just with a driver update.
Good for gaming, but a bit lacking for the price. (PLEASE read this if you want to play games.)

Summary: *****A note: After several months with this laptop, I am happy with it, and the current price ($845) is just a bit higher than acceptable, but is perfect if bought used. HOWEVER! There is a new version of this laptop with a better graphics card and MUCH better CPU: the N550JK-DS71T for $1100 ($1000 used.) It has a touchscreen, but STILL NO BACKLIGHT! When will they learn??
Summary: I've had this computer for almost 4 month. It would be a really good computer, but Windows 8 makes it impossible to work with. Every app that comes installed works around a single Microsoft password, and if you have an account with other mail like gmail, it would be a hugh pain. I had to stop working with skype, because it used my messenger account and not the one that I actually use. So had to uninstalled it and install other version.
