Summary: I'll be honest this laptop could be a lot better. It's fast, but could be faster for the price. The keyboard isn't backlit but it should be at this price and the screens colors are dull; also the brightness is mediocre at best. I keep trying to turn up the brightness thinking it's down when it is all the way up. Then there is this stupid asus help button next to the backspace button that I constantly hit. It's super aggravating!
Summary: It serves its purpose as a computer but for $700 I would have expected more. It is the slowest i7 processor I have ever seen. Buy a different computer. Or even better put the money towards building a desktop.
Nice laptop but has major network connectivity issue
cs "cs", Amazon

Summary: This is definitely a good laptop, but there is a major problem I am seeing about network connectivity. Lots of the time in my home I do not get good network. My husband is working on his apple , and he gets all signals properly. I do not get signals lots of the night. Specially maybe the time where there are lots of users. I am really frustrated about that issue.
Decent average laptop, if you can get past the display resolution
Y. Ramirez "Crudas Cuerdas", Amazon
2 September 2014
Summary: Vivobook V551LB, I guess it's a mid range. Storage - 500GB, RAM - Enough. The screen resolution is the worst! This computer came packed with decent ram, an i7 4th gen, and decent hard drive space. it is a touch screen laptop, no backlit keyboard. It's not too heavy, but the screen resolution kills it. Display resolution is 1366 x 768. If you can get past that, then it's a good buy. Hard drive is SATA, not SSD. Preloaded with Windows 8, minimal junk software.
Summary: It's a very good laptop, and it's probably one of the best ones you can buy, but I got mine broken and glitchy and instead of replacing it they refunded it minus 200$ processing charges; so I'd buy it from someone else if you were to get it, honestly.
No VGA+HDMI combo --> can't have dual external displays?
Gordon Finlay, Amazon

Summary: No VGA port? It has just the one HDMI port and I think this means it is impossible to have an extended desktop on dual external monitors? If this is the case, this is a show stopper in my opinion as I work with dual monitors while docked at work.
